Captain Webb United v The Pheasant Veterans charity football match

On Saturday 25th January 2020 at Oakengates Leisure Centre, Captain Webb United played The Pheasant Veteran’s, with a finishing score of 7 – 3.

In the process, the match raised £1200 towards the John Hartson Foundation which we are so grateful for.

The incredible amount of money raised was collected through spectator fees and a raffle – where prizes were donated by local people and businesses including Robert Nicholas Financial Advisers, Johnson’s roofing, Cartwights Waste Disposal Services, CDS Building Services. There was even a custom made trophy donated by Empire Medals.

Lee Taylor, Captain Webb United, commented:

“It was a great social day out which brought the community together to raise money for a great cause. We were overwhelmed with the amount of people who attended the match, donated and helped on the day.”
